Haven't seen it yet. Got it per Mail and is on the ACube Website too:

Bassano del Grappa - Italy - 19 may 2007:
Phoenix project and Acube Systems Srl are happy to announce their cooperation.

Phoenix project is a non-profit team of Amiga developers aiming to port various free or dismissed applications or games to Amiga OS4. Current ongoing projects include Firefox, Emperor, VLC, Transmission and others.

ACube Systems, in its continuous effort to support Amiga community and developers, will provide the team svn repositories and development machines where needed.

The team is at work collecting sources of dismissed Amiga applications and free software to convert them to OS4. The resulting conversions will be released for free to the Amiga community.

If you are a developer and you would like to take part to the Phoenix Project please contact us at andrea@amigasoft.net and we will give you all the information to join the team.

It would probably be better to get Sputnik working on OS4 before Firefox IMHO!

Someone has already been paid to do that afaik.. I believe there was talks about porting starting sometime in the summer.

To stop any rumours before they emerge - no, none has been already paid and won't be until bounty is fulfilled.

@Marcik

Hi!

Just being curious here.. What besides it not been finished for MorphOS is missing
from OS4 before you can start the porting? I guess MUI4 could be one obstacle?

Phhhff, just the board seeing running would be the first step..by one of 'the selected industrial custumers'.

Yes. But code is written now with also with older muis in mind (there might be needed some changes in mui3.9 from os4 to make it sputnik-compatible, but probably not very big).

I just want a modern CSS-, Flash- capable web browser for AmigaOS. I don't care if it is Firefox. Frankly, I don't think Firefox is a good browser. The best thing I could say about it is that it is OSS.

I've always prefered intuitive Amiga applications than mere ports but I understand that we are in a sad position beeing desperate for any applications that would offer the standard functionality enjoyed everywhere else. I just hope this software porting project brings additional deliverables besides the final products. We starve for new developer toolkits, frameworks and libraries as much as coordination and support.
