Cool with another update. One day i will register hehe :) Does .flv files work with it ? Can you fastforward in different speeds like with mplayer.
In mplayer you could use left/right arrows for small speed search. Up/down arrows for faster and PageUp/PageDown for alot faster. This i love with mplayer. If i remember right the readme mentationed only one speed for search forward/backward.

Over and out to download the demo. Tomorrow will be some testing :)

You need another one to play when the computer is actually ready to use.
Maybe add more for malfunctions and then we'll have music all day.

@sundown
Should all registered users have received the update by now?

edit: Sorry, I did not read the bit at the bottom saying everyone should have received it. I will be sending an email.

@Kicko

No, FLV files are not supported currently.

In DvPlayer you can seek in smaller or bigger steps via the GUI buttons. Additionally you have the seek slider, so you can instantly seek to any location you want The Left/Right arrow keys are used for seeking, but the Up/Down arrow keys are used for stepping between the files in the file list (if you selected multiple files in the file requester). I don't think I want to change that, perhaps Shift + Left/Right arrow keys could be used for faster seeking instead.

I sent it off to all registered users. As usual I did get a lot of "Undeliverable mail" notifications back, even though I updated the EMail addresses of all users who sent me a change of address notification. There are at least a dozen or so people whose EMail provider rejects the mail (possibly thinking it is spam), that is why I wrote in the news item that if you're a registered user and have not received the update, contact me.

Hi Cobra,

DVPlayer is great! In fact, I just registered it moments ago.
Now waiting for the keyfile.

I also registered it with moments of testing the new demo.

The old version was had issues with my classic OS4 hybrid installation and was too slow.
The new version flies and wmv files are much quicker than anything else I've used under 3.9 or 4.0.

Nice work, cheers.

I didn't think that it could be improved much but I was wrong! This new version is making watching movies in AOS 4 even more of a pleasure . I enjoy using this movie player more than any other that I've tried, even more than VLC.

Must have registered this well after 12 last night, possibly after 1am.
Got a reply from Stephen at 8:36 this morning

Hows that for service?

Cheers.

@Cobra

I now tested the demo. Shift + arrow keys would ofcourse be fine for faster search.
However your search is really fast. I checked a clip with mplayer with arrowkeys
and i could go thru the whole clip 105 times pressing the right arrowkey.
With DvPlayer i can only press 31 times. Thats to fast, specially if you want to
search in smalle clips or to find some special part in a movie.

If you dont like it to make it slower maybe making a tooltype for telling how
fast it will search in movie for arrowkeys.

left/righ time
shift + left/right time
ctrl + shift/right time

Excellent news. Just received the new version by email. Unfortunately I am travelling at the moment and can't try it out until I get back home next month. Oh for an OS4.0 Laptop!
