Software News   Software News : Two QuickFix releases for AmigaOS 4.1
   posted by Rogue on 25-Feb-2009 13:22:29 (11460 reads)
Two quickfix updates are available on the new Hyperion Entertainment web site for registered customers of AmigaOS 4.1 (for AmigaOne, SAM440ep or Pegasos II).

The elf.library fix contains an updated elf.library.kmod that fixes issues with binaries that have been compiled with the latest SDK. This is a highly recommended update.

The IDE driver update contains new versions of all IDE drivers delivered with AmigaOS 4.1. It is highly recommended for all users to install these. In particular, Pegasos II users will find that the new drivers offer a substantial performance increase.

Get them at the new download area on Hyperion Entertainment

What were your DMA settings? I use DMA 3 on my Adaptec Ultra ATA and it's resaonable.

OK, so what is a Hump Strap?

@Trixie
I'd have thought Ace Rimmer would already know the answer to that sort of question!

Well, I'm here again and with my bizarre doubts, sorry Rogue, but as OS 4.1 user register, I can't enter in your web site with my name and password, I tryed the mail way when you forget the password but neither, also I have searched in the web the option of register the OS 4.1 but I didn't see, and with the reprogramming the web some dats could been lost? and How I can register or enter in the web for the OS 4.1 updates? although I downloaded this update that works very well in my Sam, I want know if in future updates I'll have problems. Thanks.

Well, anyway after the above talk about registration and nothing else, I'd like to say thanks for the PegII patches, since I've installed these patches AmigaOS4.1 hasn't crashed while copying loads of files, or a box coming saying there's a strange fault with the hard drive.

Hopefully the patches were to fix that problem and it's not just been me being lucky!

I have 2 Seagate HDs, 80G & 400GB, both set at DMA 5, for a long time now.
