Yeah - looks nice, unfortunately for the "wrong" platform

Very interesting application.
I hope it becomes multi(Amiga)platform -compatible.

UPDATE:
So those .avi's are just some recordings of Titler's realtime performance?
(that's why those videos play jerkily? (on 2,2Ghz Athlon64X2 and on 2,5Ghz Core2Duo))

I've done that kind of looking stuff a lot in the early 90's/late 80's. Mainly by using DPaint animation features. Things had to be done in little pieces and glued together on a video recording system.
I might try titler one day....

You started out good, but there is no need to end it on a sour note. It's reads almost like you are bating folks into an argument. We certainly don't need any of that.

Care to clarify?

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I would doubt they are real time. They in h264 codec, reencode them with ffmpeg to mpeg1 ormpeg2 and they play smoothly.

Your definition of "wrong" platform is wrong.

Wow! I am creating animations in AfterEffects and I have to say - I am very very impressed with your software, based on example animations:

- It can play - animations you can play with, scale and rotate!
- EXTRUDED 3D text! It can not be possible even in AfterEffects without some expensive plugin [and it is buggy too]

You would just need Overlay effects and possibility to import transparent images [like PNG or IFF with transparency] and even [if possible] adding masking, and you will have more than powerful program!

Great code for Amiga! :)

this is just surely just an english problem. A verry good program like this one should also be used on aos4 too

Yes, I know that this program unfortunatley use too intensive feature on MUI4

@Moxee

Please note the word "wrong" - read it as "app looks great - I hope we will see on other platforms aswell". But I won't ask directly for it to come to the "right" platform, since the "right" platform does not share apps like TimberWolf with the "wrong" platform........

So it's a general request to share apps between the platforms.

So I'm not baiting - but some people tend to look after bait even if it isn't there.

One thing to do if I win in lottery one day....
I would finance Amiga apps to exist cross every NG Amigalike platform.

Untill that happens...

Perhaps some Amiga developers can grow over their current failure of supporting all platforms. Also I think it should be possible to also exchance work. For example, developers could agree that Timberwolf (red example) is released also to MOS when MUI4 (blue example) is released for AOS4.

Indeed, I hope some time I can try it to see if it's a suitable replacement for AnimatED.

Take a look:

Move Your Feet - Junior Senior
http://malaysia.video.yahoo.com/watch/5790241/15160017?v=5790241

"The music video for the 2003 single "Move Your Feet" by Danish alternative dance duo Junior Senior was created entirely using the Amiga version of Deluxe Paint by the art collective Shynola.[3]"

Amazing! :)

Perhaps some Amiga developers can grow over their current failure of supporting all platforms.

It is not about growing up, but about time wasting. For example writing DigiBooster 3 for three platforms instead of just MorphOS, increases my development time of about 50%. Time will tell if it pays off.

@ KimmoK

I guess not supporting other platforms is also a thing of resource availability. This program makes use of tinygl and MUI. The question is if resources are available on other platforms than MorphOS offer the required functionality w/o changing too much in the source code.
Btw.: I just downloaded the program and played a bit with it. Seems pretty nice.

I have no grudge against (or interest in) MOS or AROS. During the ridiculous red vs. blue wars I was a PC user, and only returned to Amiga (OS4) mid last year. So I have nothing to grow over - I simply don't have the time to learn about what the individual platforms do differently. I have a full time job, and programming is just a bedtime hobby for me. I really don't have the time to add (and test!) workarounds and conditional code. I guess many MOS/AROS developers feel the same.

@krash

If sales are "low" on one or more of the three supported platforms, will you be dropping support for the "low" sales platform(s), even if it's the platform you prefer?
