Please note the word "wrong" - read it as "app looks great - I hope we will see on other platforms aswell". But I won't ask directly for it to come to the "right" platform, since the "right" platform does not share apps like TimberWolf with the "wrong" platform........

So it's a general request to share apps between the platforms.

So I'm not baiting - but some people tend to look after bait even if it isn't there.

Yes, I understand that you like the software and that you desire to see it on AOS. Even knowing that some AOS aps are not shared with MOS there is no shame in asking if the author will support AOS.

Like you I suppose, I've been an Amiga fan since the beginning. I wish like hell that there had never been a split. I wish that everyone who diverted away was back and working under the AOS umbrella. I figure that this will never happen, but I sure wouldn't stir the pot by telling people they are with the "wrong" platform. You certainly know that they will take offense.

For the sake of keeping this site a cooperative site it is best not to use words which you know will irritate others and just go on hoping to yourself that AOS out distances MOS if that is your wish. Many people have this same wish. Just don't throw thorns into another's bed. It may come back to haunt you.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I understand your POV Moxee, and fully agree.
We all are all on the same boat.
There's no need to face more stupid users wars.
I've never minded these fighting positions.
It sounds like enviousness from some members
of both "sides".

If sales are "low" on one or more of the three supported platforms, will you be dropping support for the "low" sales platform(s), even if it's the platform you prefer?

It is a bit early to answer. DigiRoller downloads seem to indicate almost equal interest in all three versions. Of course download counters for freeware app are not precise estimator of sales of DigiBooster, which will cost some considerable amount of money. In real market I would probably drop a platform going below 10% of interest. On Amiga "market" there is also so called "fun factor" however. I do not expect to make any real money out of DigiBooster 3 (by "real" I mean selling more than 1000 copies), so the fun factor is important. Then even if for some strange reason MorphOS sales of DigiBooster 3 will make less than 10%, I will support MorphOS.

I doubt they used an Amiga to sync the anim to the song though!

Sounds familiar, I once did a music animation to The Final Countdown with my character Arry, featuring footage from his old adventures.

I had no sync-ing software, so I had to manually sync the music & anim: press record on the VCR/DVDR, then start the CD player and anim with split-second ttiming!

whats's the status of DigiBooster developement?

It is progressing well. A movie linked by Diezi7 is from end of March 2009 and since then major progress has been done. The only bigger component missing is instrument editor. Internal beta versions are released regularly to the betatesting team.

@developers

Point taken.
In many cases it needs significant amount of extra work to support different Amiga platforms.

Well, then.
We should work towards getting a wrapper/API system to ease the development of NG multiplatform Amiga applications (so that not much else than recompile would be needed). By using AOS3 API the application would run easily on every platform, but it would take away the possibility to use NG features that new APIs provide.
So, not an easy task.
Perhaps a task for AROS community. It is already independant about Commercial OS politics.

hey, lets port AmigaDE !
