Thanks for explaining it.
So it's the screws on the VGA, Serial etc...ports that keep it in place? Last edited by TheDaddy on 27-Feb-2010 at 05:02 PM.

| @TheDaddy:
So it seems... Nibunnoichi could enlighten us more, but Im sure that my findings from his pic are right.
Advantage of this is, that you dont need to "uncase" the SAM in order to fix the plate. Its mountable from the outside by loosening the bolts of the port connectors, fitting the plate in place and fastening the bolts again (depending on the case, but I think for most cases this will work). |

You're also less likely to lose blood getting it in place too. |

kidding about what? I would've been happy with any piece of metal to go back there but I'm happy to see that ACube went the 'little extra' quality wise...kidding would have been if they sent us a piece of cardboard cut out by hand Last edited by klx300r on 27-Feb-2010 at 10:02 PM.

| The screws from the ports take it in place and then it slides in the back of the case. As for "the blood" it is quite thick so it's not as dangerous as some of the backplates i had with x86 mobos, it also has "L" angled edges to help. Anyhow i bought my case also from ACube so i can't tell if they did this "L" shaping specifically for this case or if it's an option with any backplate (i suppose the others have some kind of pre-cuts to shape and cut it as you wish). It looks good construction quality after all. _________________ Proud Amigan since 1987 Owner of various Commodore and a SAM440ep\OS4.1FE See them on http://retro.furinkan.org/
