Yes, IB is a dog when you have to run it for the first time. These days I exit every other program, prepare for shutdown, etc, before trying to run IB. About 50% of the time it will crash on first start.
I only use IB for sites where you need password storage.

I find that happens when the cache gets too big.
Have you tried clearing it?

I really hope TW won't have issues like this.
But do what I suggested in that thread number6 linked to:
- Don't use a start page.
- Never leave the URL string active when clicking fastlinks or bookmarks.
- Also try switching off the cache.
- If you like to use OpenURL then start IB manually first, deactivate the URL string (by clicking somewhere else), then click the link in YAM or wherever to OpenURL it.

I think it is generally acknowledged to be an IBrowse bug (there are a lot of 68k software with bugs that don't happen to be visible on OS3.x), and IIRC it may even have been fixed in the unreleased update to IBrowse.

Generally acknowledged by who? As has been stated before, it is not a bug in IBrowse, but in the 68k emulation itself (I suspect in the area of the cpu cache flush handling, which we were asked to modify for 2.4 so that the whole cache was not flushed unnecesarily all the time which was a performance hit).
