| @All,
just curious but ... do you really think that someone (in his right mind) would take the time/money/effort to design and then going to a prototype stage, without having some sort of "plan"? _________________

They are all Book-E, as Book-E is "embedded PPC". A G4 is not designed as an "embedded PPC"
What you mean is "only e500mc has the traditional PPC FPU". _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

| Interesting, but if there's no WOS or PUP support then I dont really see the point. Do we really need yet another path to support? Surely the plethora we already have is overkill?
Time will tell I guess, but until some of the more important details (like how the ppc side is even used) I wont get too excited. Last edited by fishy_fis on 30-May-2012 at 05:22 PM.

| If they anyway go forward and get P1013 based HW out, it should be perfectly usable for Linux, Android and PPC AROS where the dev team can recompile all basic applications. In the end... one day... perhaps 68k native AOS3 has a window(s) that gives access to the PPC OS apps.
Actually... it sounds pretty ok for me. No pup/wup/aos4/mos compatibility worries, just access to P1013 devices + opensource PPC SW. (integrated sidecar, kind of)
(update: mixed up 1013 and 1022) Last edited by KimmoK on 31-May-2012 at 11:52 AM.
