Announcement   Announcement : Edgar Vigdal passed away
posted by _Steve_ on 4-Apr-2015 2:44:01 (5462 reads)
Deluxe Galaga/Deluxe Pacman and PC Warblade programmer Edgar Vigdal has sadly passed away in the evening of the 1st April 2015.

Edgar had been unwell for some time, but sadly has now lost his battle with cancer. While he may no longer be with us, his programming legacy will live on and be remembered fondly by those who are left.

Thanks for giving us these two great games for the Amiga. How many hours spent in front of the 1084s ...
R.I.P. Edgar.

Edgar`s games really stood in time. My A500 has booted his Deluxe Pacman more than any other floppy disk in all those years (and still does so!). Games that were played again and again, by all family members (young and old).

I would like to express my deepest condolences to his family. Thanks for all that he has done and may he rest in peace.

What a really long game alone this time. 1,6-2,6b.

In on Galaga v. ? there was a womans nice voice. (In another A1200HD)

Do You know What version.? Can sounds be replaced easily?

We could do a version for all to remember with voices.

I kind of wen't sad but my Girls asked in chorus: "Can We Play With The Amiga?" (2+5)

OK. Tomorrow after sleep comes Deluxe Pacman as I played Galaga this time..

Sounds?

This is not a good time to do but if it was my choice, I would challenge for some.

Edgar did his lifejob. I think WarBlade is bad against Deluxe Galaga so it desrves some better sounds like the "hot girl" -version+ if some bonus. We'll Buy it for AOS4 (Some € for download?) and also an ideapark for Memory Stations for the author. A Surprise for us. + extra =more £+€

The game should be respectfully updated to Amiga as it was but if possible some of the extra surprise add-onns. Put my € in there. (To work in the A1XE that was under repair, now , quite fast)

I thoroughly enjoyed the Deluxe games. I spent many an hour playing Deluxe Galaga with a custom mod of Ritchie Blackmore playing on two of the four channels of sound.

Really sad news! His family will be in my prayers.

"Reaching out to other worlds!!! Looks like a flying saaaucer!" Classic childhood memories playing Deluxe Galaga. The bonus section dodging the asteroids really got the competitive juices following between me and my best Amiga buddy!

Deluxe pacman one of my all time favorites. It shocked me to hear he is now gone way to early. He will not be forgotten.
