Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : AmiModRadio v0.95
posted by tygre on 8-Dec-2015 4:39:51 (3627 reads)
Hi all!

Version v0.95 of AmiModRadio is available here, here, or here

The revamped MUI uses new icons and some interesting code to launch automatically players if in the path. It also include some user preferences, although they are not yet accessible from the UI. As a consequence, putting AmiModRadio in the WBStartup drawer will start AmiModRadio, which will launch the first player recognised in the path and play some music immediately!

In addition to some refactorings and clean-up, this version also fixes bugs #13, #19, and #23. (Previous versions fixed many other bugs!)

As usual, bug reports and ideas are welcome!

Cheers!

You have forgotten ":" after http & https in your links
You should also remove the double quotes at the start and end of your links.

Dear Trevor, Kamlit0, and all!

I am so sorry about that! Hasty copy/paste from Amiga.org... How can I change a posted news? I can't find any "edit" button (even logged-in)... could a kind moderator help me?

In the meantime, links are here.

Thanks!

A little documentation would be nice, a least something saying what players it supports.

The options tab has 4 entries, all saying autoplay, a bug?

Logs need to be saveable and/or to be able to mark and copy sections

Basically it does nothing here except say it can't find anything to play.

This looked like a cool program, but sadly I can't get it to work on MorphOS. Anyone know the reason why?

So sorry about that! I have a MorphOS machine but I haven't yet set it up to test, I would really appreciate any help in the meantime! I would like AmiModRadio to run in any Amiga flavours

Thanks!

Ah, documentation is always the victim of time, isn't it

Yes, please, look at my Web site as mentioned by emeck (thanks! ) and I added an issue to remind me to write an AmigaGuide...

Take well care!

Tested on my AmigaOS 4.1 FE and seems to work really nice. Is it possible to support TuneNet player too? It seems to be the best player for MODs on OS4, and it plays mp3s too...

Keep up the good work.

Thak you walkero!

Very happy that it works in AmigaOS 4

As for TuneNet, I downloaded it from here and read the documentation (yes, someone did! ) but it says nothing about ARexx port and commands... would anyone know about its ARexx interface?

Cheers!
Tygre

@tygre
If I am not wrong it is easy to create a couple of ARexx scripts for tunenet to execute shell commands and add songs to it when it runs in deamon mode.

The best way for your app would be to give the user's a way to config which player they would like to use. This way you won't have to support other players.

For example, if I could create a couple of arexx/dos scripts that would be executed by AmiModRadio when it gets a song file or when I press a button at it's GUI, then I could support my beloved player, with you get involved at all.

Hi all!

AmiModRadio v0.96 is now available here, here, and here!

AmiModRadio is getting closer to its completion! It now includes preferences (currently to start (or not) playing modules automatically and to show (or not) the log page automatically ) and an improved user interface, with which the log can be saved! It also includes some refactorings and bug fixing, in particular bugs #26, #28, #34, and #36.

Merry X-mas!
