posted by Raffaele on 30-Jul-2016 15:31:10 (5821 reads)
From site of Amiganews.de i read sad news that Oliver Wagner died unexpectedly at only 45.

He was one of people who allowed Amiga to enter boldly in internet Era with his good software Browser Voyager and Relay Chat AmIRC.

May He Rest In Peace.

Good bye Oliver. You will live on every time I boot my Amiga and run AmIRC.

Condolences to his family.

This is sad news indeed. I had a few chats with him via AmIRC many years back. Bought the AmIRC and Voyager licenses as well.

My condolences to his Family and Friends.

This is unbelievable. How can he be gone at such a young age? I have used his software a lot in the past. RIP dude.

Another sad news.

Although I used mainly IBrowse or AWeb, Voyager was really nice browser in its time.

Aw :( He was a decent chap, although ISTR hated OS3.5/9. Any bugs that only showed up on those you had no hope of seeing fixed.
I'm still running his old Microdot-II on OS4, and long-standing bugs notwithstanding, it's working as well as it ever did.
RIP Oliver.

This is truly horrible and so sad. I've enjoyed all his software, especially AmIRC. R.I.P.

Shocking. He was still so young. R.I.P.

I recall Voyager had one of the best rendering engines. I may have favored IBrowse but Voyager was very nice and reminded me of StarTrek. That could do things with a true colour JPEG on a 64 colour screen like you wouldn't believe.

Very sad news

AmIRC was one of the very first programs I used when I got my Amiga online. Great memories. I was also very fond of Voyager as a browser.

R.I.P, Oliver.

Ugh. 45. What was the cause of his death, if I may ask.
