Hey, Vortexeau, that was quick! I didn't think it was pubic knowledge yet!

I'll be at the Sydney and Canberra meetings - don't know about Brissie or Melbourne yet

Sorry Vortexau, I don't see it. Oh wait, is it the AWorld headlines?! Are you in charge of that?

@vortexau

Who is in-charge of the meeting dates for the OS4 tour in Austrailia? I notice that the Melborne date has yet to be confirmed, any chance of it being 1st of November as I will be in OZ on that date

Excellent review Dave. I wish I had as few problems as you seem to have had.

I've had months of footering with linux. As a newbie, this was a complete pain - 10 reinstalls and I still couldn't get it working the way I wanted.

Then my Pegasos was returned and it booted first time, so I have to say my A1 has been removed from the case to make way for it unti either:
a) I find out how to install it alongside my A1200 in my EZTower, like Eyetech said I'd be able to.
b) I get another tower
c) OS4 is released
or,
d) Morphos pisses me off even more than linux

So far none of these things has happened.

Victoria is the "Garden State"
Queensland is the "Sunshine State"
Western Australia is the "State of Excitement"
Cant remember NSW, SA or NT.

Very nice review!
During the last weeks I heard from a well known Amiga dealer here in Germany that you need to buy an additional soundcard, if you want to have sound with the A1, as the A1's onboard sound would *NOT* work.

Knowing this I am missing a chapter about the A1's onboard sound - or about sound on the A1 in general.

@Dandy

Yes it is true. The drivers do not yet exist to drive the onboard soundcard.

Not that buying another soundcard is a big deal ...

Damn .. I gotta couple of Sb lives kicking around here collecting dust.

I think they only cost about £12 brand new anyway.
