As it is now, I've found only one KVM switch out of 9 which did not prevent the machine from booting off a powered down status. However the KVM was so lacking in other areas that I did not keep it. And I still think I still need one.

However, none of the KWM switches prevented a machine reboot after OS4 had at leas booted once (by unplugging the KVM, let AmigaOS boot, and plug in KVM). Then I could use the keyboard in CFE too.

just a question: if the 256mb barrier is broken, this means that the Vram limit is due to the graphic card? so if the graphic card has 1Gb of Vram i can use on my system 1Gb of Vram?

Until the X5000 graphics DMA isupport s done the Southern Island cards will perform better for video playback than the Polaris cards . The Polaris cards appear to have better performance for Warp3D Nova applications on the X5000 though.

Apparently Caused by the Dynamic Power Management .
It affects the memory copy rates without DMA.

Have you checked this? I don't recall if RexxMast acts as a commodity so you could check it with Exchange. But check through this to see why it isn't being loaded on startup.

While you mention it I would suggest not to post the exact same three times in a row and instead wait for a response but that's just me.

The scrutiny of the gfxbench scores was as a result of actual video playback performance.
Video that played back ok with an R9-270X stuttered with an Rx 560 .

Well.. then as noone even start to work on x5k dma in graphics.library (and pretty possible noone will), it better to stick with non-polaris cards on x5k instead.

But that strange anyway, the better card and worse results :)) how it can be ? I mean if dma lower it down, it should do for r7 as well, not only for polaris ones.

The Dynamic Power Management is only implemented in the AmigaOS 4.x Radeon RX driver at present so this does not affect the Radeon Southern Island cards.

Probably will be good to have some env variable or other version without power managment then, just to see if is it which make it slower without dma. And for x5k users it is minimum few years to live without dma for x5k (if someone will do it ever), so some version without power managment can be handy for sure..

On the Radeon Polaris cards the gpu micro code has to be uploaded via the Dynamic Power Management system .

Btw, how scored the same Verde which you test on x5k, but on sam where you test polaris ? So to compare it with polaris one on sam.

The Verde card does not work on the Sam460ex.
The Polaris 12 is the same card in the tests on both machines.
Radeon R7-250X results using same card for both Machines .
