If this is supposed to improve acceptance of the classes and libraries developed by A-EON so that more 3rd party developers are using them - why does it require registration?

The Enhancer Software Core includes the Updater utility. This is used to keep users up to date with the latest released versions of the classes.

AmiSphere account registration is necessary to use Updater utility.

The vast majority of users already have AmiSphere accounts as it is the same account used for AmiStore and all of A-EON's download services.

Outrun1978 has a point with the lack of development speed, a look at MorphOS and you see that if a team is united there can be great results.
Chromebook and gaming is a thing that serious gamers don't do and a weak statement :(

I congratulate the MorphOS team for their recent updates.

On the Amiga Developer Team we have been working steadfastly on many projects and will continue to do so. This is completely independent to anything that Hyperion may or may not be working on. So I think any comment on development speed should be directed to Hyperion and certainly not be confused with A-EON's software effort.

Lets put this in context: two or three remaining Hyperion developers working on a volunteer basis iis unlikely to get the development progression that many here are hoping for. That is not a reflection on the last few Hyperion developers still working in their spare time because they do a wonderful job in very difficult circumstances. However, as far I am aware there is no Technical Director or Development Team Lead at Hyperion for some time. This situation presents clear problems in following a coordinated development plan and delivery of future versions.

I was worried by the situation in 2015 with the direction of travel for development. As a result I setup OS4 specific projects in the Amiga Developer Team to ensure that we could mitigate against this. Naturally this was met with some criticism by some Hyperion beta testers and few remaining developers. I am pleased with the results in that we could deliver the Enhancer Software to X5000 users to augment their experience of using the system software.

When customers are paying their hard earned money for an X5000, they deserve software progression on the platform. A-EON will continue to invest and expand the Enhancer Software.

Just to confirm ... Does the Enhancer Software Core v1.1 package contain anything new that would not already be included in Enhancer Software v1.5?

I have already installed Enhancer Software v1.5 Special Edition on my MicroA1.

I believe we are all happy with the development progress of your team (in my little i could even include myself as betatester and translator). The criticism, if we can call as that, was only about the choice to rewrite from scratch some specific system components that already worked, when maybe the team could be employed on other more necessary things ..

They only wrote the news. In fact, there is no Enhancer Software Core in AmiStore. There is Special Edition for £19, Standard Edition for £39 and Plus Edition for £48. I specially registered with them and installed the Amistore application. It's as empty as on the amisphere website.

Can't you simply upload the files to Aminet? Registering is not nice. If you need a tool to autoupdate use Grunch but please provide a way to download easily without registrations.

I agree with the comments regarding registration / distribution. If you want to encourage developer adoption any form of registration is counterproductive. Amiupdate might be a good fit for some, but I don't see any reason for not using OS4Depot and / or Aminet as well.

We do not use AmiUpdate - we use a different program called Updater. Updater is included in the free Enhancer Software Core.

Registration gives you an AmiSphere user account which gives users access to a wide range of A-EON services such as AMIStore, Updater and www.amisphere.com website. Once registered updates can be sent to the user through the Updater tool so they can always have the latest version on their hard drives.

I really admire your indulgence and patience with certain Amiga community members who even complain when free stuff is thrown at them because free registration is required, while they are sometimes even known not to be AmigaOS4 users in the first place.

Funny that but as a mobile gaming platform, am finding this Chromebook am tapping away on far more useful than they ever used to be and like I once dismissed them you probably need to revisit things. It has a detachable keyboard and a stand like a Microsoft Surface. Its quick, peripherals connect to it straight away and ChromeOS loads up quicker than AmigaOS ever used to do. Plenty of gaming here, Asphalt 9 and other android games, Xbox Game Pass, Retroarch.

I fired up Wayfarer on my Mac Mini G4, found it a tad sluggish and thats on a machine with Altivec, i dread to think how slow it runs on machines without it. Its not really going to be something i am going to be reinstalling MorphOS on my X5000 for if am honest.

There is ONE product containing the word Core in the store. It's sCORE.
There is NOTHING else after registration

By installing this SDK, I will force the users of my builds for AOS 4 to install it too.
They simply will not find ENSWCORE1 with such support and some smart guy like you will say that it is easy.
