Look at that line up! Total Amiga kicks ass! If you've not bought an Amiga magazine since Amigactive or AF, give Total Amiga a try. Its really good.

Internet news sites are all very well, but they don't make good bogside reading

Damn straight.

Its kewl too when other computers users see you reading an Amiga Mag... Their curiosity always gets the better of them.

Very nice - but 18 days in advance?!

Are you trying to kill us with the wait or something Michael?

Well, that does give some of us time to order in advance. I'm thinking now of getting a subscription, even if it is kinda expensive ($12.00 an issue). It's only 4 times a year, and I really miss getting a print magazine for the Amiga.

I remember when I first subscribed to Amigaworld magazine years ago... It was $19.00 per year for 6 issues. I still remember how exciting it was when news was so abundant that they had to go monthly to keep up.

Well you can try before you commit to a subscription.

Total Amiga Magazine is stocked by at least two Amiga dealers in the US.
See distributor list HERE

Alternatively, you can try some of our back issues, in full and for free from our back issues page
Note, they are in PDF format, if you are on an Amiga, you'll need to install APDF available from Aminet

BTW, Just checked current exchange rates, a year's overseas subscription cost £20.00 ukp for four issues. Converted into US dollars, that costs just over $32.xx US Dollars

Which means each issue will cost you $8.xx US Dollars.

There I have saved you $16.00 USD already!
- What more do you want?

That's not so bad. But I guess I'm looking at the single issue cost and multiplying by 4.

Damnit Mickey! You mustn't torture us like this!

Can't wait for the new edition.

As a sidenote, Linux heads are aiming for China as well... hopefully Alan can pull off some of his Might and Magic and score some successes in China. Good luck Mr Redhouse!

Yet another interesting edition of Total Amiga Magazine to look forward to then!

I wondered what had happened to DaveP's tutorials as I hadn't recieved any further updates from him, so now I know - he's taking his tutorial to Total Amiga instead. I think that's probably a better idea actually, my only small negative about that is the length of time between tutorials and the limited space available for each one. I'll probably continue on ahead at my own pace and use DaveP's stuff for revision, but yeah great idea - programming is something Total Amiga has always lacked, it's good to see them covering more areas of Amiga Computing. This is looking a bit far in the future as C is a massive tutorial with lots of ground to cover, but after the C tutorial has ended I'd really like to see an Arexx tutorial. Any other ideas?

Eyetech moving away from Amiga Retail?? (Raises Eyebrow)

Im not sure if this is my last issue of Total Amiga before I have to resubscribe or if the last issue was my last one... what happens when you get to your last issue? Are you sent a reminder or do you need to keep track of it all as you go along? Maybe I'll email them and find out - if my subscription has expired I can renew immediately and recieve the mag on time then. Can't have you lot talking about it and me still waiting :P

That's a possibility, I have written a few things in ARexx or perhaps we could find someone else at a more expert level :) I think Dave has 4 installments of the "C" tutorial planned so we'll see what happens after that.

We send a renewal letter with the last magazine of your subscription, also we print the last issue number on the bottom right hand corner of your address label. If you want me to double check the database just send an email.

Thanks

No one got any further updates because the mailing list that I used got trashed when the C: partition of my WinBlows machine carked it.

I suspect I am going to get flack over the tutorial there are too many pet experts in C that want things taught their way .

However what I'd like to do is answer support questions for it on the Total Amiga mailing list rather than the web forums. So if any questions get asked on the web, they will be ignored.

@MikeyC

A new AW banner is on my list of "things to do", should be done Tuesday night.

@Miffy

Thanks for your efforts on the C tutorial.

If anyone wants to join the totalamiga mailing list it's on Yahoo Groups at:

Thanks

Robert

Earlier issues, maybe, but since Andrew Korn, Richard Drummond, John Chandler joined, that has improved.
