but it would be even better if we could have a slightly better quality version, for us people on broadband

I don't see why not. I'll see what I can do over the weekend, I can get a very good Mpeg in around 80Mb, better quality than the current one, I think my ISP would throw a wobbler if I uploaded the full 1.6 GIGABYTE file !, and as I'm on dialup here, that would take quite some time, I estimate around 17 days, hmm, don't think I'll be doing that

Now, what I COULD do, is put the thing on a DVD along with the entire demonstration, I've already created said DVD for my own use, which I could very easily copy. . I must warn you though some of the language used in places is of an adult nature

The DVD is just over an hour long, camera mainly pointing just at the Amiga's monitor, but you can hear the discussion going on in the background.

If anyone is interested, please let me know and I will see what I can arrange.

This is just to judge interest, release of the DVD is subject to approval by SEAL (I've promised Sicky that he get's 1st look at anything released about the show Sicky: I've emailed you privately about this)

Is this the same video, as on the November issue of 100%Amiga CD magazine.

Nope, this video was filmed at the Amiga North Thames demo on Nov 9th, which I filmed and edited myself.

I'm in negotiations at the moment to be able to provide a DVD version of the video alongside the complete demonstration.

Nice video, Paul. I plan to share it with some Mac friends of mine. While the boot-up could arguably be said to be well over 10 seconds, it was still quite fast.

@Trezzer

You can watch mpegs on an Amiga, try Riva, I get good playback with that, I fact I find it better than Quicktime on the Mac I using at the minute! Riva does full screen playback too which is nice

The boot up wouldn't have been so long had there not been a 5 second delay set up in UBoot. Why on gods green earth this wasn't set to 1 second is beyond me

The download speed was horrible, after 4 attempts at resuming I had to throttle it with prozilla (which I hate doing).

Can I set up a mirror?

Bah, I grow tired of waiting for reply. I am setting up a mirror at www.samfundet.no/~olegil/amiga/ant1.mpg

Only the mpeg, I guess the wmv is smaller, so don't need much help hosting?
