AmigaOS4: EasyTAG 2.1.8 for AmiCygnix released

A new version of the tag editor "EasyTAG" is now available on OS4-depot.

EasyTAG is a tool for viewing and modifying tags in audio files. It has an
easy-to-use GTK2 interface. To run an installed AmiCygnix environment version
1.2 is required.



New compared to the previous package (version 2.0):
  • New version 2.1.8, see "NEWS" in the "Software/EasyTAG-2.1.8" directory.
  • Support for MP4/AAC and WavPack files.
  • Enhanced CDDB support.
  • New startup scripts for desktop and standalone startup.
  • New icons in the style of AmigaOS 4.1.
  • Compiled with GTK+ 2.24.5.

  • Features:
  • View, modify and write tags in the following file formats:
         - MP3 / MP2
         - MP4 / AAC
         - FLAC
         - Ogg Vorbis
         - WavPack
         - MusePack
         - Monkey's audio files
  • Supports the following tag fields: Title, Artist, Album Artist, Album, Disc No., Year, Track Number, Genre, Comment, Composer, Original Artist, Copyright, URL, Encoder, and of course the inclusion of cover art.
  • Auto tagging: parse filename and directory to complete automatically the fields (using masks).
  • Ability to rename files and directories from the tag (using masks) or by loading a text file.
  • Ability to open a directory or a file with an external program. Useful with the audio player "Audacious", which is also available for AmiCygnix.
  • CDDB support using Freedb.org und Gnudb.org servers (manual and automatic search).
  • Ability to browse directories and subdirectories.
  • Recursion for tagging, removing, renaming, saving ...
  • Read file header information (bitrate, time, ...) and display them
  • Undo and redo last changes.
  • Ability to process fields of tag and file name (convert letters into upper case, lower case, ...)
  • A playlist generator window.
