Set a DESTINATION to use the AUTO Tooltype.

Such as:

DESTINATION=Ram:
AUTO

here is another hint ... prefs/time

Prefs/Time has NTP support? (using it, didn't make the connection of it being new, but I _think_ it is?)

In fact, it was already there.
Maybe Toaks was hinting at the... hints?

Hmm, you may be able to use a different key combo for your KVM. I've swtched from Scroll Lock to using CTRL (2x) for the KVM control..?

Heh, looking

The thing that looks new to me is the "Automatic" setting for the titlebar... fell in love with it as soon as I finished installing U4
(shame on me if it was there already before! )

Nope, the auto-unpack behavior is determined by the existence of the 'AUTO' tooltype for UnArc, nothing to do with traliling slashes and such..Add AUTO and try it. I thought that was default for ud3, but most of us disabled it?

I keep default partitions (unaltered) with each update of the OS.
There is -no- "AUTO" tooltype (active or commented out) in either update#3 or 4.

U4 can take care of this now
Just set the U-Boot variable "kbddev_sysreqishelp" to "yes" and the help key will be mapped to Print / Sys Req

Did that -before- I reported that it did -not- work here.

True, it's not there, but you *can* use it: just include it in the tooltypes (here it just works, altough I do not use this feature).

@wegster

Workbench Screen, press right mouse button, choose workbench, first one down, little tick box Backdrop?

Looks unproffessional if you ask me, take it out next upgrade please.

Then consider it new and undocumented, but add it and it will show the auto-unarc behavior.

Current settings:
(PUBSCREEN=)
(AUTO)
ARCHIVE=DOWNLOADS:
DESTINATION=RAM:
(LEFTEDGE=)
(TOPEDGE=)
(WIDTH=)
(HEIGHT=)

Hi @Toaks

Thanks for hints! I was wondering how the 'Shortcut' arrows were
showing up on some new WB themes:
Sys:Prefs/Workbench->TAB=icon->Mark left out icons

I really like this one:
Sys:Prefs/Workbench->TAB=Desktop->Titlebar=Automatic

Hi @Wegster

@wegster

I'd be surprised if this has not been mentioned yet (maybe because it was also in the previous releases? ), but here it goes: the scroll wheel can scroll the contents of Workbench windows (SHIFT modifies the behaviour). Moreover, when the window is open in text mode and an item is selected, the wheel acts like ARROW UP/DOWN.

@All

The keyboard code now responds to many (but, not all) rawkeys generated by the PC keyboard. I, now, use FKey to use my multimedia keys as Forward, Back, Quit and View Bookmarks in IBrowse, using AREXX scripts.

I agree with your general comments about MUI bugs, but I have not had a problem with IBrowse or ATC colours since UD4.

No. We are talking two different things here.
What -I- refer to is using the GUI for Unarc.
Although "double-clicking" on an archive -will- auto extract with these settings:
using unarc to select the file (a similar action), will -not- autoextract the file.

Sorry, but it was not clear (to me, at least).
