@Deniil715

Have you ever looked closely at a CPU pinout before? These modern CPUs (Socket A for example) have something like 1/3 to 1/2 of the pins on the chip dedicated to ground and voltage supply connections!!

The circuit boards are multi-layer also for that reason. The typical PC motherboard has anywhere from four to 7 layers, at least two of which are nothing but power and ground planes (in other words a solid layer of copper across the entire board except for holes that go through it). They are likely using large copper traces or whole planes of copper to carry that current.

@DWolfman

Just on the subject of more fans;

I've noticed a lot of cases have room
for 2 case fans + the PS fan, but do
not have enough holes in or near the
case front/sides to allow enough air in
to feed all those fans.
This can cause the case fans to rob
the PS of airflow causing other wierd
problems. So, not enough holes.?
Make some, even if they are in a spare
blockoff plate or front end of a side
panel.

@Mechanic

I don't think I'd need to do that.

I have an Antec SX1030 SOHO Server case that the gaming PC is in. No pictures for that case any more (it's an older one), but the mechanical drawing in PDF format shows what it's made up like.

That A1 is in another Antec case, the cheaper SLK1600.

In both cases, there is PLENTY of airflow. No need for extra holes anywhere.
