By elected members from the community; let them deal with it.

Thanks for your tactful reply and you were requesting input.

I don’t think I’m being naive about having the “big 3” involved ( Although I am a bit
concerned about Eyetech’s silence). But they would only be “involved” in making a small
list of software they think is needed to further the cause. Hyperion (the Freidens, as you
pointed out) have already mentioned a title or two.

They (the “big 3”) clearly have invested more time and money in attempting to make
“Amiga work” again then anyone else and their collective “weight” on a couple of
software titles could make our choice a bit easier. They may also know more about who
is doing what on the software front and this could be a way of helping to get (more)
support for those efforts. This is all speculation on my part of course.

I also suggested a user (read community) list should be included as well.

It all sounds like a lot of work..... but worth a try.
