What about SNAP ?

In the early developments of OS4, an agreement with SciTech was announced: SNAP would be part of the upcoming (yeah!) AmigaOS4 and would allow a great number of boards to work on OS4.

It seems to me that SNAP is not present in OS4 as only ATI boards seem to be supported for now, but I could be wrong, so let's directly ask you:

Is SNAP present in OS4 ? If not, is it scheduled for OS4 final release ? If not, is it scheduled for OS4.1 or above ?

Oh, btw, just to refresh your memory, here are some quotes from an interview you gave back in October 2003:

---------------------
ajk -- Any new drivers on the way? Most importantly graphics cards

Hans-JoergF -- Graphics will be done with snap on A1. On the CSPPC, we're using "normal" P96. Other than that, we're working full force on drivers for A1.

nostalgic -- now i can buy the aone but i dont know what gfx card i shoud bay to it becurse i dont now what os 4.0 gonna suport ?

Hans-JoergF -- www.scitechsoft.com. Look for snap.
----------------------

Not that I have anything with you changing your mind during development, I'm just asking...

Leo.

For 4.0: there were several problems in making the port of SNAP. Thus it was delayed. So I don't know if it will be in 4.0.

It will be in 4.1 for sure.

@Leo

If you dig further, you'll see that there's talk about SNAP being integrated only in the final version of OS4... that is, not in the prerelease.

@EntilZha: when I say "OS4" I of course mean OS4 "final" release, not prerelease...
