@ Rogue

As the Pegasos 1 is quite similar to A1 due to the Articia
Would it be possible to solve the problems that exist under
OS4 too? The MOS Team did it (I don't know how...)
The symptoms seem to be identical (?)

r200, rv250 and rv280 cards (8500, 9000, 9100, 9200, 9250)
now work on Pegasos 1

Fixed a rare lockup condition on r200 (8500, 9100)
Fixed a random crash on starting the first 3D application on Pegasos 1
Fixed a scissoring problem on r200, rv250 and rv280 (8500, 9000, 9100, 9200, 9250)

@zErec

I did not have the time yet to look at the problem, but I don't have a lockup problem with the 8500... It just seems to incorrectly read the coordinates I pass in.

@Rogue

Ahhhh, hope you are investigating your time into cool OS4 stuff
or relax a while because of hard work done on OS4 parts.

greetings

@Rogue

Anyway it should be an interesting reading when you have time to fix the problem.

@Rogue

As this this quite an old thread I'd like to ask Rogue whether it is good idea today to buy the Radeon 8500 (or 8500LE) or 9100 for A1-XE/OS4.1

Are there any compatibility issues?

Thanks in advance.

@AmiKit

You can use an 8500 in 2D but not in 3D. I still didn't find out why the 8500 doesn't work. I probably won't put too much effort in it anymore.

@Rogue

Thanks for prompt answer.

Pardon my ignorance but what does it mean exactly "not in 3D"? Is it matter of games only?

And what about 9100?

@AmiKit

Radeobn 9100 has the same problem as the 8500, because it use the R200 Chip too.

@AmiKit

"not in 3D" says no 3D-Hardware acceleration for Games/Application and no compositing engine in OS4.1
