All

If you have a Radeon in your AmigaOne please click here and enter your details.

If you don't have an account, please post your details in this thread instead.

NB: If you already posted over at Amigans.net, please don't duplicate here.

Original post follows for reference.

As per this post, if you are using a Radeon card in your AmigaOne, please can you reply in this thread with:

1. PCIScan line for your card.
2. Whether or not you are using interrupts (copy and paste the INTERRUPT tooltype of DEVS:Monitors/Radeon)
3. Any other Radeon card config details.
4. Amiga model
5. NEW: If interrupts are off, why!

Here is mine to get the ball rolling:

1. 15 0x1002 0x5159 ATI Technologies RV100 Radeon 7000 / Radeon VE
2. No Interrupts
3. A-Tek Radeon 7000 64MB dual-head card
4. AmigaOne G4-XE
5. OS4 does not boot past Kickstart with interrupts enabled

It'd be nice to know what the purpose of this call for info is.

Thanks,

There is a thread 'in another place' which quotes:

"Some users have reported problems with certain Radeon cards and the use of interrupts"

That's right, it's to gather information on which cards are not working with interrupts.

That's a random question and somewhat off-topic, but I just use Notepad on OS4.

@Chris_Y

Pardon me Chris, but I have looked at the thread on amigans and see people spelling this tooltype:
"Interrupt"
"Interrupts"
"Iterrupt"
etc.
I also see reference to:
"yes"
"on"
"enabled"
etc.

I suggest you demand a straight cut/paste from radeon tooltypes into people's posts, since mispelling here could lead you to the wrong conclusion.

-- edit as per request from Chris_Y --

I do not run my MicroA1 on a 24/7 basis. Instead, I power it on when I go to use it and power it off when I am done. After I upgraded to OS4 Final update, the machine would randomly boot into a black screen on power-up, no Workbench, just black. Then I would do a ctrl alt alt reset and the machine would reboot and launch Workbench normally. At first I thought this was somehow related to network interface activities. Then I saw some threads describing this trouble, and the guys were discussing Radeon tooltypes settings.

On power-up, the machine would randomly boot into a black screen (i.e. no Workbench) ...
... solved Feb 3, 2007 by changing INTERRUPT=Yes to (INTERRUPT=Yes)

The black screen has not returned since I changed this setting.

Correct.
"commented out" is NO.
Just like a mispelling of either the tooltype name or setting would be.
