Is it formated?
(or is that just MorphOS that does that?)
Did you tick the automount button? Is there a automount button?
No one knows! You're the only one with 4.1, SO STOP Showing off! :P
Does it say if you can boot from a JFX filesystem? or indeed any information about it?

check if you have jxfilesystem in your kicklayout.
Edit: blocksize has to be 512 nothing else. after checking your kicklayout, do a coldreboot and it should appear on wb. Then do a quick format. Last edited by Cyborg on 03-Sep-2008 at 09:10 PM.

So it's wrong to tell it someone nevertheless or what? Of course reading the manual avoids some unnecessary questions but sometime you just don't see the answer. So I just pointed to the most important things... Nothing wrong about that, is it? _________________ Regards, Cyborg. AmigaOS4 development team member

The SLB is none of my business so I can't give you any answer on that, sorry. _________________ Regards, Cyborg. AmigaOS4 development team member

| @SOFISTISOFTWARE It seems like switching to a larger block size with OS4 has been highly recommended by people involved in OS4 developement since early prereleases. I wonder what the logic is for switching back to 512 block size??

Larger block sizes are only recommended for FFS. And that is still true. 2048 is what I set for all my FFS partitions.
But for SFS and JXFS, 512 is not only recommended, but prescribed. I must admit I can't tell you anything about the technical background for this, but I have seen Jörg himself state this several times, so I have chosen to believe it is true .
Best regards,
Niels

Ok for the .recycled dir but partition wizard can be used for JFX partitions ? To recover it when (if) there is a problem.
I ask for it because I have just have one with SFS/2 and I had to format and lose all my datas :(.

PW can not handle JXFS/SFS2 Partitions. And before somebody asks: It is not possible to boot from JXFS/SFS2. |

| Wonder if anyone can help; I'm busy converting all of my FFS2 partitions to JXFS and before I delete all my backed up data and trust JXFS with it, I'd like to know what the default settings are in Media Toolbox for:
Buffers [1024] Max Transfer [7FFFFFFF] Mask [FFFFFFFE]
My current values, and the defaults given in Media Toolbox, are in the square brackets.
Thanks for any help. _________________ This fire is burnin' and it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop, It's rock n' roll - GN'F'N'R |
