Hello, it's me again with my newbie questions!

Please bare in mind that I only ask when I have searched everywhere I know I could possibly get an answer, and do not want to waste anyone's time!

So. now listen up to this:

I boot my SAM, open Prefs>AHI, For the music unit I choose CS4281:HiFi 16 bit Stereo ++ (the forth option), pressing "Play test sound" it works, then I save. Exiting, opening Tunenet, choosing preferences and in the General Tab at the audio Mode I choose Ahi User Mode > CS4281: HiFi 16 Bit stereo ++. Saving, choosing an internet station or playing a mp3 works!

Then I reboot, I open Tunenet (with the saved-correct options that worked before) and i have no sound! I open Ahi's preferences I press the Play test sound and I have no sound either! Although the prefs are exactly the same I used the previous time!

If I want to have sound I am obliged to open ahi and press Play test sound! lol

Now the second one. My monitor is a Samsung Lcd/Tv 941MP and I am using the dvi>vga provided by Acube. At the lest side of the screen (where the devices icons are) I have vertical grey lines (!). But not only that, I can see the image of the boing ball of the default system icon of OS4 at least 10 times fading from left to right! Also the same vertical lines appear at most of the drawers I open at the right or left side of it. I think that i have made something stupid with the Hz of the Monitor because I get a headache after I use it for at least an hour. When I was prompted I left the default values. Also I am using radeon M9: 1280x1024 ARGB32 Screenmode. But the same strange effect occurs at all the screenmodes (from 1280x1024 to 800x600).

Any help?

Thanks in advance!

Use DVI or the internal VGA connector.

@Cool_amigaN

you have to configure each unit in AHI prefs not only the default user mode.
in tunenet, you can choose which AHI unit to use so use a unuit different than user mode.

1)My Monitor doesn't have a dvi output.
2)How will I us the internal VGA connector?

Thanks for your help!

Well, I did that also (hopefully correct I think). For all the other units I choose the same driver leaving the deafault values. Do I have to do anything else?

Thans for replying btw!!

@all

Is there ANY OS4 "how to" except teh documantion provided by the OS4 it self?
