| So I tried to set back up my auto-detect stuff after installing OS 4.1 Update 1, but all I get from FDTool is this:
11.Boot:> fdtool couldn't open floppy device unit 0, err = -1
Doesn't matter what command line options I use either, all the same result. I do have a 1.44 MB floppy disk plugged in that worked fine under OS4.1 (with FDTool as well) as unit 0 before I installed Update 1. This is on an AmigaOne XE G4, using the on-board floppy controller.
Any ideas?
Solution: A1Floppy.device.kmod is commented out in OS 4.1.1 Kicklayout by default. Removing the comment and cold booting fixes it. Last edited by DWolfman on 24-Jan-2010 at 08:37 PM. Visit SYS:Kickstart/Kicklayout and remove the ; in front of a1floppy.device.kmod. save and make a hard reset. |

OK, tried that.
No change.
Also, mounting either FD0 or PC0 from Storage/DosDrivers fails with "Error -1".
I compared a1floppy.device.kmod with my old one, and they have the same size and datestamps.

No, I haven't disabled it, but it was commented out in kicklayout. Thing is it was like that by default, as I did not put it there.
Tried changing it per ZeroG's suggestion, but it still doesn't work after the reboot. Last edited by DWolfman on 24-Jan-2010 at 08:37 PM. Last edited by DWolfman on 24-Jan-2010 at 08:26 PM.
