I am using a Dell 22 inch monitor on my SAM 440 just fine, but can't seem to get any picture at all on a Dell 30 inch. Anyone have a clue as to why? Do I need to change something in Workbench in advance to allow the 30 incher to work at all? Its a GBLZ3Z1 btw.

@Nagasakee

I have Dell 30".... Your problem is because your video card does not support dual link DVI...
Dell 30" is only DVI-D compatible because of the 2560x1600..
Get yourself a decent video card! ;)

Oh no! Not on the Sam. That will kill it!

Some people get away with using a lower resolution on a large HD compatible monitor. But that's not a CRT with a clear picture. Can't do that with an LCD, you just get a blurry image from emulation. No point using a digital screen like that. Why am I telling you this?

Although "half resolutions", with constant amount of "pixels per pixel" (like 800x600 on 1600x1200 screen, which has 4 pixels per pixel, damn this sounds confusing...) look much better than, say, 1024x768, especially when scrolling. Good for "games that don't run well enough at full resolution".

Of course smaller resolutions look better on CRT (no matter the full resolution) but you are going to see the pixels if you go "low enough" anyway.

Also, it's not the inches that count, but resolution.

For SAM? AFAIK none of the by AmigaOS supported Radeon cards sports Dual-Link. Do you know of any? Are there drivers for any other cards that fit in place?
