Hi all,

I guess I haven't used my printer in a long time on my A1, I think atleast since before the second update of OS4....

But last night I needed to print something from my A1 and, well, it doesnt work anymore
Is this Update 2 related or must there be something else wrong ?

I have my Epson 950 connected via a switchbox to my A1 and my PC. It works fine on windows and used to work fine on OS4.

Any thought ?

It's not the Epson printer needing an INIT sending before it prints anything is it ?. I had a similar problem, here was the answer I got:

If it used to work under OS4 then I suspect the problems lies elsewhere. Give it a try anyway, just in case. The init code that some printers require is not related to the type of connection between the computer and the printer.

I dont understand, printing always worked fine....

What else could it be ?

After updating to update 2 you didn't add 'Turbostart' to the new WBstartup prefs !!!!

Boy, do I feel stupid now......

Try setting PRT: as suggested here (in your case, set the printer prefs to print to the paraller port instead of USB).

EDIT: heh, so that was the problem. At least the solution was easy :)

I feel SOOOO stupid

btw: I think the Epson 950 is a realy nice printer. The other Epsons I had where dramatic with dried out heads and so on, but the 950 never failed me ! Ok, it is not very fast, but the prints look realy nice.
