After two years am I at it again with A4000T and OS4. Two years ago I managed to install OS4 on hard drive but I must be doing something wrong this time.
I have successfully installed OS4 (I did hd partitioning with OS4 template). Hard drive boots to OS4 as long as I don't do a coldreset. But if the machine has been off for more then 15 seconds OS4 wont boots from HD. I get a DOS message saying that "No disk present in device DH0:".
If I boot the boot floppy which came with OS4, OS4 boots up from hd again. So it clearly loads something (KS updates I think) from floppy and it doesn't do so from HD. What is wrong here?

Hey, need some more information before I can help:
1) What hardware is in the A4000T (what cards?) Is there a Deneb? Anything in the Deneb flashrom? 2) Are you using cybppc.device (CS PPC scsi?), or A4000T IDE? 3) How large is the hard drive? How large is the initial partition? 4) What filesystem are you using on your boot partition? What filesystem is in the RDB?
Thanks

Solution was fairly simple. I used A4000T's own IDE connector instead FastATA controlled which I had. The patch for FastATA installed during OS4 installation caused the problem.
I just plugged IDE cable to FastATA and it worked. Stupid me.
