| Any ideas when it is likely to arrive in UK (okay, I mean in my hands).
Seems like the rest of Europe is getting it first!
I guess we are in a better position than people outside Europe though!?
Is there still some question over who is distributing the UK copies? _________________ www.amigaguru.com www.dragons-fire.co.uk |

Eyetech have just received their shipment and are in the process of sending them out.
Check here: http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic_id=5032&forum=3&start=20&viewmode=flat&order=0
According to Sven @ Stellar, Eyetech will do their customers and Stellar should be doing theirs.

As did I until it was pointed out to me. The bit about Sven came from an email he sent me.

I KNOW THE FEELING !!
Our Post is now being delivered by Agency workers ( I'm an Agency Truck driver myself so I wont slag em ... however)
Its quite humourous to see them looking at the letters then scratching their heads... Post one letter ..disappear down another street for a bit.. then half hour later dliver a letter to ourselves !!
Classic sign of insufficient training.
#Oh ... Edit-Chick has just informed me ...
Postie is on our block (crosses fingers) _________________ ****************************************** I dont suffer from Insanity - I enjoy it

No Os4 though :(
However .... Nice letter from my agency ... I got a 50p per hour pay rise .. W00t
Last time I got that I no longer had to work Saturdays... Well, I still can but ... I rather have the weekend to ourselves.
Just thought of something ....
I wrote the wagon off this week (my fault) And they give me a PAY RISE !!
Maybe I should crunch the bosses car !! _________________ ****************************************** I dont suffer from Insanity - I enjoy it

Oh well..... Next week here as well. Probably the stupid London postal service.
Gives me time to remove final files from Linux installation.

Hi The_Editor,
Ever see "Trading Places", a scene with Eddie Murphy? That movie is excellent!

There's never a second post on any day now, the Royal Mail abolished it.
And my CD didn't come today either

| @Eyetech's direct Earlybird customers
Quote:
Oh well..... Next week here as well. Probably the stupid London postal service |
I am pleased to tell you that we have now managed to process and post all OS4-PR packages for customers who purchased their Earlybird boards or systems directly from us. This is mainly UK customers, but we have also processed those few direct orders that we took from Europe, the US and elsewhere.
Althought the terms of the original Earlybird offer asked recipients to pay for post and packing for the OS4 CD delivery, we have carried this charge ourselves in order to speed up delivery. This is a unilateral action on our part and does not repesent a change of policy as far as other dealers are concerned of course - that's down to the individual dealer.
Please also remember that this 'Free OS4' offer only applies to Earlybird systems and boards. We (and other dealers) took and delivered a number of orders for 'Developer' boards prior to the announcement of the Earlybird systems (although many of these were delivered at the same time as Earlybird systems were shipping).
These boards were intended for people assisting in the development of OS4, and their purchasers were given a 10% discount on list price at time of purchase (worth around ukp50/euro75/usd 80). Purchasers of these boards are not entitled to a free copy of OS4-PR. Most purchasers in this catagory however already have access to OS4-PR by virtue of their involvement in the development or official beta testing of OS4.
For the odd few people who managed to buy discounted developer boards but did not participate in the OS4 development program, Hyperion have agreed to supply OS4-PR (and subsequent downloaded updates) for a significant discount on list price. Because we expect relatively few people to fall into this catagory it probably makes sence for Hyperion to handle these sales directly. We do however first need to make an assessment of the exact number of people involved, so if you think it applies to you, please email, in the first instance, to OS4-devbd@eyetech.co.uk.
Finally I hope the rest of you receive your copies of OS4-Pr soon and enjoy using it on your A1's
Thanyou for your support and patience
Cheers
Alan |
