| Wow, I must say I am impressed, I was just taking a break after getting Proplayer to compile for AmigaOS PPC when I noticed my neighbour had taken in a parcel to me.
I was really surprised when it turned out to be a Sil 0680 based IDE controller sent by the dealer I bought my AmigaOne from, on THEIR compliment. I haven't even asked for a card as I mostly use my A1 for development and not surfing pr0n while watching three divx-es at the same time.
Well, I must say, that's what I call good service, kudos to GuruMeditation.se
I'll check out the card later this evening, heard it was a breeze "installing" it. _________________ Nicolas Mendoza |

Yeah, reflect is a great guy. He sent me a free CW Mk3 before OS4 had built in keyboard drivers so I could write some to use in the meantime. Its also going to be used to make an extensible, flexible SID library with Ross Vumbaca and Paul Heams. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

And that's the reason why I can't see many dealers doing the same thing
I have got myself a sil680 card and it is working fine and dandy with latest beta, well worth the expense

I don't wanna sound dim, but what is this "Sil 0680" everyone is talking about. You know it drives me barmy sometimes. Just when I think I'm getting my head around everything Amiga something "new" comes along. I call it new because I've not seen this thing mentioned even once before the Firmweare update became available yesterday.

On the A1 Owners forums there is an Eyetech post. If you want to use dma on ethernet and on ide device on an Earlybird A1 you need this card. It is also ATA133. New XEs and Micros don't have the problem. Last edited by _Steve_ on 20-Oct-2004 at 10:08 PM.

The dealers don't have too. I mean it's really nice if they do but I think we will not see any more dealers doing this. And you cannot really blame them. Rigth?

Who said it won't be? Remember, the problem is still being worked. Nobody knows what Eyetech will offer when the final results are in._________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

| WOW!
I think Eyetech or MAI should send some mini boards for free for that reseller...

Why do people persist on calling it >SIL< 0680?! "SI" stands for Silicon Image, which is the manufacturer of the controller. Where do you get the L from? It should be SI0680 or perhaps "Sil. 0680" where "Sil." would be short for "Silicon", but not SIL.
