Can anyone point me to latest 68k gcc and binutils please ?? I did have a link, but I lost it. Also, are these files redistributable if someone wanted to release an easy to install development environment for people interested ?? Thanks you

@Illyria

GCC

BinUtils

They're under the GPL, so yes, you can do pretty much everything, as long as you provide the sources too.

@thread

ftp://ftp.back2roots.org/pub/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/alpha/gcc/
is the link for GCC.

ftp://ftp.back2roots.org/pub/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/snapshots/990529/bin/binutils-2.9.1-bin.tgz
is the link for binutils.

It seems the auto-link is the only way to get a FTP link to work on this board. The URL button certainly doesn't do it.

That has been done already (more than once ;)

Here, for example, is the package by Amon_Re:
http://www.kefren.be/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1

This one downloads the Amiga includes during the installation. Since the URL of those has changed, you will have to update the URL in the installation to:
http://www.haage-partner.de/download/AmigaOS/NDK39.lha

Another easy-to-install gcc development environment can be downloaded on the Cubic site, as part of the Cubic demo, but that's a massive package because it contains compilers for other targets and platforms, too (on the other hand it's extremely easy to install, so if you have broadband and don't mind the size...):

@zerohero

There's a problem with collect2 in those binutils: it doesn't support a2ixlibrary. Had to copy the one from 2.9 over...
