Why nobody post even 1 word regarding the most important news at AMIGBG??

- The look, features and availability of QUAKE 2 EVOLUTION and FREESPACE 2

- The news and features planned for OS4, AmigaONE or any new hardware

- The state, funcionality and expected release date of the other interesting software shown

Someone please show some mercy of us who couldn´t go. Thanks

@Toaks

Thanks Toaks, but that's exactly what I mean: I've have been actively searching trough all kind of pages and none of these reports and pictures cover the subjects I told, or they just mention them (but with no "content")

- Does the Quake mod engine have the shader features of the pc version?

- Will they release it as a free add-on or sell as a stand alone product?

- Is it finished/When will it be available?

- The same about Freespace 2

- Any clue on the new hardware?

- Any clue the planned specs for the final version os OS4?

- Any oppinion of the Friedens/Hyperion/Eyetech on the PPC processors situation?

- What have shown Tales of Tamer 3D for real?

- How it looked Candy factory 2? ETA?

- The same goes for all the other soft shown (I think it's no necessary to summarize right now)

@vision

A new version of the SDK is going ot get released this week, or as soon as possible

The "mystery device" (or at least some new hardware) is going to get announced in a few weeks

AmigaOS4 final eddition is going to get released this year (allthough it could be december 31.)

IBrowse 2.4 is going to get released this year

I have meet a lot of great people

OpenAL is almost working

libSDL is going to get included in a shared version in the new SDK (I am sure that a lot of people are going to like this - and this does also make it possible to use SDL in commercial software)

Yes, as far as the source code is released, which is 0.40

No idea.

The same. No idea.

That has been discussed ad nausem elsewhere, and hasn't changed since a considerable time.

I have never made a secret about my opinion towards PPC processors.

Great This does make it very much more interesting... so we are at least goingto get two great hardware news soon (if we are going to get information about the mystery device soon)

Any idea about when we are going to get information about the "mystery device"?

Well like already pointed out ...

The look and features for Freespace 2 was just play awasome! It ran FAST, smooth and great! And this was on an Voodoo4000, the radeon will probaby be even better. I think it used OpenAL for audio but is not yet 100%.
QuakeII - Evolved was also amazing.

As to new features I don't think this was discussed in detail at the fair. Hyperion showed us the new skin/theme features of OS4 and actually made my OS4 installation look identical to an 1.3 system, it's Retro, it's cool, it's AMIGA.

It was announced that a new desktop hardware will be announced in the coming weeks. And as already pointed out, it is not the M.D.

Tales of Tamar was showed in it's latest 3D beta version, and Martin told me that an OS4 native version might be considered. It exisits today as 68k+Warp3D. I will talk to him more about this, stay tuned..

Cheers,

IIRC was it not going to be a Eyetech product...
But it might be a new AmigaOne company

too funny

Can we advertise it as 'military spec motherboard'?

To original poster- there have been lots of threads. Check in the news, or search on Candy Factory, some screen shots were posted; it looks NICE!

@amigamagia

Hehe, you have also fallen in love with the city? Man, I wish I lived there... It's only 5 hours (by boat and bus, on a bicycle it took two days... ) away, but I'm not there enough...
