Show begins in about one hour.
Timezones listed and links to the audio/video streaming here:

Please consider using -this- central thread to post general news concerning
AmiWest, posting links to information concerning the show, links to pictures, etc.
This will help our members and visitors find the information they seek, by keeping
most things in one central place.

Again, obvious important topics will certainly warrant their own threads.

So it seems that panda is already in the hands of Hyperion. OS4 may even be running on already. hopefully we'll get a confirmation later.

No information on when it will be available yet though.

@eha

Shows you how many of you guys it takes
to equal one of us then doesn't it?

Of course we could fit your whole country
into a province or a couple of states
spacewise.

We are all online anyway.

When you are betatesting this new hardware
you don't have time to go to shows.

etc.

@NoelFuller

Open this URL in tunenet
http://linux.tc3net.com:8000
(this is the low quality audio stream for dialup)

MPlayer might do it too, but Tunenet is working flawlessly here.

You might want to join IRC too, to hang out with other listeners..

Theres going to be an announcement from Bill McEwen in 2 hours!

@Rob

Using mplayer GUI I copied the link in while online and
pressed PLAY which promptly ghosted but nothing else happened.

@NoelFuller

I couldn't get it to work with MPlayer GUI but running mplayer in shell it works.

Actually we could stand the russians 1:10 (or more) during my
dads time. Still the Amiwest is getting better, already 35 people
there (it might be nice to know how many are listening or
following the news online).

We have enough of pure lakes here to let every single person
in the world to swim or during this wintertime to skate. (No,
I don't want to join any fights mentioning the finns beating both
Canada and USA in icehockey several times!-)

I hope you can come to Finland next summer though... We are
now planning to have full Saku meeting either in Helsinki or
Tampere. There should be some 100 users coming
together, if we have something similar to show.

Where could I get the demoversion of DigitalUniverse?
I have the 68xxx version, which has some problems on
AOS4 (still really fast!!).

Tools removed? Hmm.... Ofcource I can add them myself...

I ment to say, that the sys:tools directory is removed, and all the
software in there is put to utilites or somewhere else. Still some
other nice looking stuff in the OS4 beta demo...

I'm listening to the audio of the OS4 demo... and I really wish I could SEE the screen he's doing stuff on right now....

edit:
Okay, I was going about loading the vidfeed the wrong way...

BTW, the one doing the video feed is about to take it down momentarily to up the number of possible connected users...
