I hope that isn't the brother of Freddie Krueger. Then again, if Amiga employed Freddie Krueger, they might go from rags to riches and keep coming back from the dead. |

I really like Jamie Krueger, but I'm not sure how I feel about this news. I can only hope it works out well for him, but so few things in Amigaland ever do.
Does this mean that some version of AVD may become the official Ami Inc developement tool? I can see how that would be a big plus for them.

| I hope he secured a signing bonus. Hopefully he is smart enough to not show up for work if the checks stop coming...
The conspiracy theorizer that I am makes me think that... AVD was a good product to stimulate OS4 development, hence Amiga hires him so that all development on AVD stops immediately. Yet another way they contiue to massacre the platform. It seems to me, he could continue AVD development in his spare time. Now we'll see MSVD for AA2 instead... | If Amiga Inc is going to give us anything useful I think this was a good move, too bad for AVD but with OS4 in limbo what else could he do. I hope you're wrong, but it wouldn't suprise me. What would suprise me is that Jamie would agree with such a senerio.
Here's an interesting bit I just noticed....

The press contact for Amiga Inc is in my town based on the phone numbers. And who would post their cell number on the internet? ( C: +1-404-xxx-xxxx)

| IIRC the original AA was supposed to come with the Code Warrior IDE as the development environment. As Jamie was building an IDE for OS4 it seems plausable that AmigaInc would hire Jamie, for his strength in this area, and want him to build an IDE for AA2, which would run on OS4.

Do you really think AmigaInc could possibly organise/manage such a thing? And if so, without eventually sueing every company involved?
Maybe we should have a poll as to how many months until things turn sour and Jamie stops getting paid.
Honestly, based on McEwan's track record, can you blame me for the sarcasm?
I would gladly eat my words....I really would, but you know deep down you agree with me.
I hope Jamie can influence them to see reason and finally give the community what they are crying out for. Good luck Jamie. You're going to need it.
Edit: why is my sig suddenly back?Last edited by BigBentheAussie on 29-Jan-2008 at 02:08 PM.

I feel sorry for Jamie... he loves AmigaOS and is a very nice person but I'm afraid he may get screwed by Amiga Inc.
I hope he gets paid for his work and also I wish him the best
Good luck Jamie! _________________ The only spanish amiga news web page/club: CUAZ |
