Depends largely on CommodoreUSA's actions. If they do it right, they could win the majority of the market. But like I already said, they biggest concern and goal would be getting in new users, not "stealing" old ones.
PPC Amiga obviously, by the reactions on this forum, has a market for itself. The only question is for how long? Not saying because of the competition, but because of the PPC architecture. |
The point is, if CommodoreUSA is a strong competitor (I have my doubts, but time will tell), it will be because it is offering a product more in line with target users needs.
If PPC Amigas are compelling products on their own merits, then they will sell. If CommodoreUSA bring more users and increased finances to the Amiga ecosystem then it's all good.
If CommodoreUSA support AROS financially, I will take them seriously. If they don't, f**k 'em, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt for now, we don't have anything to lose by doing so. |
