Such hardware could run an emulation of OS4, run a 1080p movie, severel tabs in firefox, an open excel and a word document and not feel a sweat about it. Hell, I have a much slower PC then that and I can run it no problemo...

The days of having a unique platform are over.

I have to say when hyperion and a-eon announced their new project I was excited even though I haven't been on the scene in a long time. I thought, maybe something cool and useful will come out of this. Now reading the price and the conditions beta testers are expected to pay, I'd say I would have to be crazy to go for it.

I never understood the market for a PPC amiga. I mean, the VAST majority of your customers will have to use PC to get things done. So there really is no excuse in going PPC if only to suck out more money from a customer. Which is a viable business technique and their choice to live with
