Music composer program for the C64?

| Do you know a good music composer (notes, keys,etc not tracker) for the C64? I am a musician and I would like to experiment with the SID chip.
PS: I prefer freeware and public domain software, not cartridges or paid soft :)
Another PS: I know this is an amiga forum, but I could not find a better place for it.
