I've just started crunching packets of OGR-P2 25. I can't understand what's mean the particular numbers in the last line displayed by dnetc client within its GUI. I only know it show a progress.
Can anyone describe / decode me it? There is nothing about this in original readmes.

Here is the current status of my work (my first packet):
[May 24 23:41:17 UTC] OGR-P2:25/9-14-2-8-7-43+39-49-3-18 [50,656,325,867]

edit by wegster: gave temp topic, just edit post (r-tea) and give it whatever you'd like..

@r-tea

Still no topic

Afaik the explanation is:

[May 24 23:41:17 UTC] This is the current date and time in UTC time-zone

OGR-P2:25/9-14-2-8-7-43+39-49-3-18 This is : Crunching OGR phase 2, those numbers that follow are the package sequence number.

[50,656,325,867] This is how much have been counted (The current progress). With OGR-packages you never know the size, because the package-sizes can differ quite a lot.

@ wegster

Thanks for repairing my broken post

IMHO the PHP code part of posting is a little buggy.
It should fill in a default string eg. untitled, by default to prevent of such situations like this one.
Or it should give a warning message that a title is required.

Anyway, finally 12 points goes to wegster!

Thanks!
Is there a possibility to change the time-zone?

Why numbers after "+" change while crunching?

He propably did as I did, entered it via a forum

Regarding UTC, why do you want to change that?
UTC should show your local time anyway.
( UTC stands for coordinated universal time)

Ehhhmmm... I'm blind.. :) You're right. Now I can see it's my local time. Previously I supposed it should be an CET time.

@ All

Another question:
[May 25 22:51:08 UTC] OGR-P2: 11 packets (545.90 stats units) are in
buff-out.ogf
Why "stats units" if in the stats tables on distributed.net there are Gnodes appear as units? Is 1 stat unit the same as 1 Gnode?
I'm currently in the half way to finish crunching my first 25 packets, and then I'll attribute them to Distributed Amiga :)

@r-tea

OGR 25 project is trying to find a sequence of 25 numbers that have minimum unique differences. The numbers that you see are some part of this sequence of 25 that is being tested to see if the differences are unique and minimum.

For more information, read: http://www.distributed.net/ogr/

@firbodi

Hi!
I asked about something different.
Ranking tables on Distributed.net contain results in Gnodes, and the result which is produced by dnetc is called "stats units". I wonder if it's the same. Is 1 stat unit equal to 1 Gnode ?

Ok, guys ...and girls :)
I have just flushed my first 1486 Gnodes of OGR project to the d.net servers and attributed them to the Amiga Distributed team !
So, within next 24h I'll become the 1087th member :)
