| A few days ago, the AROS Browser Bounty was assigned. In effect and if successful, this undertaking will render an AmigaOS compatible open source web browser that will sport features such as CSS and AJAX functionality. As the Browser Bounty will currently only yield $416 USD, some people argue that funds should be transferred from the closed sourced Sputnik AmigaOS port that was announced last spring.
In this week's AmigaWorld.net Community Weekend Poll, you are kindly obliged to answer if you think the AROS Browser Bounty should receive the money donated to the Sputnik AmigaOS port. _________________ That'll Put Marzipan In Your Pie Plate, Bingo 💻 Pro-Amiga, 🌍 Pro-Globalism, 🍅 Pro-Vegan, 🛦 Pro-NATO & 🇪🇺 Pro-Joint EU Defense Intervention Initiative |

Sorry to stop the discussion before it's even started
It is not going to happen, because it is not what people have donated towards and because I say so!
Please donate to the AROS Browser Bounty (I will, ehh already did !) but keep in mind that they are separate projects and the Sputnik bounty is already assigned and in progress. It is always nice to see more applications for AROS as I really regard that as my backup system if/when my A1 dies, hopefully it will be in a more finished state by then.
As for the Sputnik project goes, Marcin will receive his A1 hardware soon (just need a final test before being shipped). The original hardware donor backed out when asked to ship the A1 to Marcin and it took some time to get hold of another, so that set us back a bit. Meanwhile Sputnik has been further developed for MOS, so it is not wasted time. Last edited by Troels on 12-Nov-2007 at 10:44 PM. Last edited by Troels on 12-Nov-2007 at 08:38 AM.

Well said. If people want to donate to an AROS Sputnik bounty then I urge them to do so. I have donated to the A1 Sputnik port an will do the same for an AROS Webrowser.
