There is no Amiga Washington, hasnt been since they sold the trademarks etc to KMOS which then became Amiga (Delaware). The company formerly known as Amiga (Washingon) is now known as Amino (which was its name before it bought the name from Gateway.

Probably nothing, I'd assume AInc(W) has the rights to transfer everything, or it was given to them by KMOS, but they didn't file all the required paperwork?

There seems to be some confusion among the regulars here.

Amino, a Washington based company, bought the Amiga IP and trademarks from Gateway, then named themselves Amiga. (Washinton.) Years later, they sold that property to the Delaware based company KMOS, who then renamed themselves Amiga. (Delaware.)

The transfer never went the other direction, nor has Amiga (either) ever claimed that it had. So, finding evidence that the name currently belongs to Amiga (Deleware) is not a revelation of Amiga's incompetence, nor some sort of faililng on their part. No one incompetently failed to transfer the name.

What you've actually discovered is evidence that many here have misunderstood the current situation for quite a while now.

°º(Yet oddly, everyone feels qualified to gainsay Tigger when he tries to explain these things. Eh.)

Amino bought the Amiga name, I.P. and inventory from Gateway. Gateway retained only the patents, which Amino were given unlimited use of.

looking at it, Hyperion are challenging that the trademarks are owned by amiga.inc, and have given a timetable which means this will be resolved by early 2009. Hyperion are trying to string the lawsuits out even more IMHO.
