I'm on the same side of argument as Samface is. This is new. |
As shocking as it is, I feel the same
Anyway, about Amiga inc's "OS4 sabotage" and samface's car analogy (Guy takes car to repair shop, refuses to pay, wants his car back, pays late but still doesn't get the car, and just like in "our case" the case is taken to the court and they make the decision)
Anyway, would the repair shop owners friends start complaining, if the original owner of the car didn't give / rent for cheap price his CD player aswell, brand new trailer etc. for use with his "stolen" car?
In a similar fashion, why would Amiga inc. keep on licencing further hardware platforms when Hyperion actively refuses to fill their part of the contract (and sell back the OS)
Remember that there have been negotiations about buyback long ago, it's just recently that the matter became public.
Yes, I know. Amiga inc. could still get money for licences etc. WAIT, I just got an idea!
Why don't we just ask Microsoft give us exclusive rights to Windows Vista? We could pay them licence money for each and every copy sold, so they would STILL be earning money! Sounds like a win-win situation, doesn't it?
Why haven't they already done something like this? Maybe it's just that no-one asked! |
