That was my first though too, but I think Tig's example was based on the fact that the customer was the original owner of the car, the customer wasn't buying a new one. If that's the angle, then you would get your car back with "paid for" upgrades and maybe some damages.

Pixie, your case is only valid if the grocery store says I owe more money, Hyperion never said in 2004 or 2005 hey you still owe us $250, instead they said we havent paid Olaf for his code, and the code isnt done yet. All while the other money is sitting in the bank making them interest. They in fact sent a receipt that implies they arent owed the missing $250, so they dont ask for it, they send a receipt for the wrong amount, and when asked to deliver the product for years never say you owe us $250 on the buyback, but now want to keep the OS and the money and the additional funds they have asked for and gotten as well. I think you are the one in need of the reality check.
