I wonder, if there is a good compilation of all the nonsense-quotations of Bill McEwen.

If not, please try to write down the best and most memorable Quotations from Bill McEwen.

Please try to use the original words and please put down the notes (link).

I'll make a collection an send it to some newspaper.....

Why?! What good will come out of it? You will only pour more salt into open wounds.. We dont need A.inc to move even further away from the community (if that is possible :P )..

@Alkaron

Why not? Why salt into open wounds? The quotes are pure and informative facts.

"OS 5 is ahead of schedule, and we will be making public announcements concerning the product in the 4th quarter of this year." (This was in 2007)

"[OS 5] is going to be much better than OSX from Apple."

EDIT: For the above, see here. (Question 16 and onwards)

"ACK and Amiga have spent many months working on designs and working with various manufacturers to create great products with a competitive price point. We will be working with the Amiga retailers over the coming weeks to solidify launch and support plans" (Also 2007?)

EDIT: See here.

EDIT: added link and corrected quote

I believe "On schedule and rockin'" is by far the best quote, ever.

In the coming weeks we are going to see the releases of not one but three new Amiga Products!:

* AmigaOne PPC /1200 - On Schedule and Rockin'
* AmigaOS 4.0, and shortly thereafter AmigaOS 4.2 on schedule for release Summer of '01 and will offer the next generation of Amiga desktop - on PPC!

It's just for Fun.

Just to see how much "good" ideas Mr. McEwen had the last few years.

If you don't wont't to write down a quotation, you don't have to.

@Birbo

I thought something else. I thought that you wanted from us to write down our thoughts about this guy. Anyway I will answer.

My thought is from the famous movie: "Kill Bill". I think that's suits him.

it would be faster, easier and less time consuming to quote all he said that made/makes sense.

for example :

Quote:
My name is Bill McEwen

this one makes sense

wait...i'm not so sure though.

There's a good one:
interview

Some quoteations:

Our plans have always been to produce, create, develop, market, enhance, sell and support the operating system

Several parties have tried to contact you for licensing reasons and reported a total lack of response (not a "no" response, just no response at all)
(...) it is always easier to make a blanket announcement that Amiga “never” responds, or I never heard back from them.

There is no deception, no hiding and the fact that we announced all of it in the public forums would make that clear.

Yes, we are working with several other groups to add new branded content and expand the offerings that we have.

OS 5 will run on more than one family of processors.

Over the next 5 years you will see OS 4, 5, and version 6 in the market along with supporting builds and infrastructure across several digital devices.

Are there any plans within the next two years to support/release/develop any desktop environment?)
Absolutely! We will not be the manufacture of the hardware, but we will be involved in the development of the OS and all of the other software pieces that go along with it to create a new powerful desktop computer.

We have been in discussions with several of the leading PC manufactures and chip manufactures already. I am not going to throw out names or other information at this time, because it anything can happen between now and when we ship.

We want to see OS 4 ship, but by the time we get everything worked out you may be running version 5.

Yes, Amiga actually entered into a contract in 2005 with a firm to develop some products based on the Amiga classic technologies and we are looking forward to seeing those products.

Are out there some quotes about older projects than OS 4 or OS 5.

About some new Hardware, some new Locations?

Or perhaps quotes about the team of Amiga Inc or about the history?

Its sad that in 2000, McEwen was the hero of the Amiga community, standing by the community, promising that the new Amiga Inc. would produce acutal products, not empty promises. Since then, he has neither stood with the Amiga community, nor delivered products (apart from AA games no one wants), just empty promises.

"So the world may know"

may know what?!

Sometimes I think that I have done more in 11 months than Amiga Inc. in 9 years (?!)

LOL!

I did it in 5 minutes and then it took my wife about 9 months to make something decent out of it. But it can stand on his own legs now.

Only Amiga makes it possible

Did you know that Gateway announced OS4 for 1999 and OS5 for 2000? Report at ANN (I could not verify news but I guess it is true).
