The last few months, no public announcements have been made by Amiga, Inc., current owner of the Amiga intellectual property. While some argue that the lack of communication may be the result of the ongoing lawsuit the company is currently involved in, others theorize most of the staff have been laid off because of the company's questionable financial situation and that in-house development has been put on hold. After the losses from all the endeavors we've discussed over the years, plus the loss of investor Pentti Kouri, Amiga Inc. had the resources during any of this to actually "hire" more employees that they are now laying off?

I'm a little hesitant to jump right in and buy the next Amiga even if this court case is resolved. The problem is the number of years of litigation and past performances.

I passed on the first batch of new Amigas because I believe that since the first production year of cars have problems, so will computers. I was right because the local Amiga vendor stopped ordering the new computers.

I think Amiga Inc. should make good on past wrongs and I believe they need to set a new history and new judgment calls have to be made before I will buy from them.

I won't extend credit to whom credit is due because this is a hard lesson to learn and I feel they owe something to the Amiga community.

Reality has never stopped Amiga Inc making announcements before. Every year or so they seem to wake-up & make a rash of announcements about various agreements & releases of simple software.

I therefore expect another one sooner or later (I guessed within 6 months). But I don't think it will mean anything!

I'm not going to bash Amiga Inc here (its very easy to).. but how can you form options for this poll? what are they based on? there has to be a method of calculation or a reason for anticipation.. if its just gut feeling after such a long time of inactivity, its just a waste of time.. you're pulling "poll options" out of your backside.
