@Darth_X

I've downloaded the ISO but not burnt it to CD yet.

I do like using AF2008 on my laptop, I have used AF for quite a few years no and have loved the evolution of the software.

Not sure yet but probably, I will hold off purchasing it for now but I will probably add it to my list of ideas for things to get me for my birthday in September.

You buy the download version as an ISO, ya pirate!

(Wake me up when Hyperion sell a downloadable ISO with OS4 on PearPC that runs on x86 PCs.. )

Yeah, I'm in...

I like the product from Cloanto, and now with the integration of AmiKit it's pretty clear that it's worth an upgrade so I'm downloading the ISO now as we speak =)

Not a pirate copy, so there.

I already had AF2008 and went through Software Director to update.

That gave the option to download as an ISO.

It is on my short Amiga list already.

That's a pity it doesn't include AIAB or ClassicWB. It would be perfect to have'em all at one place...

I hope the authors will consider plugging it in now as AmiKit and AmigaSYS are included.

I already own AF2008 and C64 Forever, but I'm considering an upgrade since AF now features also Amikit and AmiSYS. Gotta have'it, gotta love it.

I also have a brand new Sam440-flex @800MHz w/ AmigaOS4.1.

Can't get enough of Amiga!

I have AF 2006 and upgraded the AmigaExplorer to the 2009 version just yesterday via the SoftwareDirector.

SoftwareDirector also offered AF2009 - but I wasn't sure if this woud be an upgrade or just a trial version - I didn't want to downgrade my full 2006 version to a 2009 trial version...

Runs great.

Like AmiKit and AmigaSYS, never used them before.

I haven't used WinUAE (aka Amiga Forever) for months now, since I started using OS4 seriously on my Sam440 , so no, probably no Amiga Forever 2009 for me.

your usual silly comment on every bit of software NOT written by you :-/

Yeah I upgraded and the next day the power supply for the old Lenova died. Found one for 12.00 in Hong Kong. Free shipping. I hope it is not a slow boat from China. So I have not downloaded the ISO and am forced back to dialup on my A1, mixed pleasure.
I just have to wait.
Thank you to Amiga Inc for preparing me for this wait. So apropos!

John Paul

I literally have no idea what you are talking about, so could you PLEASE explain further or provide some examples? By PM or email might be best, to avoid derailing the thread. (I suspect you may be misconstruing the motivations behind my constructive criticisms, but would like to know for sure.)

Sorry, are you saying I wrote OS4? Because I was saying I use OS4 in preference to OS3 these days (despite WinUAE being the fastest OS3 Amiga available, and despite even giving OS4 a run for it's money).

I own a relatively recent copy of Amiga Forever, so I know that. But WinUAE is the central/major component - even if there is additional s/w that I personally wouldn't/don't have a use for. (As for the non s/w, i.e. the data files, they are surely nice to have, and the main reason I might consider buying a new copy of Amiga Forever.)

Yep, I upgraded yesterday from AF2008. I like that AmiKit and AmigaSYS are intergrated into the player...

(Edit: Note - I've full versions of both AF08 and AF09.)

paid/dl/burnt/problems
waiting for Michael to get back from Denver to fix the installer
Problem is, I had an old install of AF 2008 and not all the bits
got deleted when I removed the program so AF 2009 is confused
