| Recently I've been in Berlin for a short (very short) time. This year is the 20th anniversary from the opening of the Berlin Wall and in various places there are memorials and manifestation remembering those days, One of them is in Alexanderplatz and there, inside a glass box, together with other instruments, try to guess what I have found?

Only Amiga made it breakable?
Can someone from Berlin tell us more? _________________ Stefano Guidetti AmigaOS 4 Translator & Betatester

Cool!!
I'm going to Berlin tomorrow for a football match (Hertha BSC Vs Danish Brøndby IF), will have to take a closer look at that A-500 if it's still there.

Wow. Thats pretty cool, didn't know Amiga had much to do with it. Granted, if E. Berlin gov. was using x86 stuff, they wouldn't have a clue what to do with the binaries Pretty high res pics, too. You know if the content that was made with that thing is online anywhere? BTW, That Canon 1000D looks like a nice camera. Great resolution on it! (I have a script to strip the EXIF thumbnail, convert it into a .png file w/ .info extension, convert it into a project icon set to cyberwindow, and dump the EXIF text into tooltypes. Now I got the geek-speak out of my system...) _________________

Yeah, there's a lot of demand and competition in the market for that class of camera - Nikon's D5000 is a similar unit, and both actually make it pretty difficult to ruin a photo
I love the mod switches on the 500 near the LEDs. Looks just like something I'd do _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X |

Yes the Canon 1000D is a very nice camera and also a poor photographer like me is able to do nice shots. It's an entry-level camera but it's more than enough for me.
I don't know if some of the content produced with that Amiga 500 is still available somewhere, I bet there are some floppies buried inside some drawers in some archives...

I asked the people that do the archive work for the "Umweltblaetter", if there is any material left that was made with the Amiga, and if we could get pictures or any other digital material of our special interest, but also for historical reasons (we can have a look into a small part of history made in 1989!). Lets hope that they still have such materials |
