A Commodore Amiga 4000 saves planet earth

In the movie Quantum Apocalypse the earth will be destroyed and the only thing that could stop this a nuclear explosion in space. Ia a powerful computers to calculate the rockets path. The PC crash(BSOD), then they bring in the A4000 and it saves the earth.

This movie made my day, seeing a A4000 and the best line in the movie is -> Amiga has superior Operating System.

@Boot_WB

according to the trailer, the special effects are too good for a b-movie

Sweet!

Just need Peter Jurasik to be eating in an Indian restaurant in the film now:

I see Gigi Edgley is also in it (Chiana, Farscape).
Not a major selling point for me, but geek-trivia nonetheless.

@amigauser

Just finished watching the film now, quite enjoyed it, yeah, the line "Superior Operating System" was great, (It was used twice in the film)

Not going to say too much as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who intends to watch it later, great film, and not just because it mentions Amiga, a good film to watch even if you are not a geek

@amigauser

Well, the movie didn't get good grades

I'll get and see it anyway. Maybe people disliked it because it's Amiga movie One should be aware of stuff to comprehend it.

@amigauser

Heh, the actor somewhat represents some Amiga users, may be including myself.
The Amiga user is clever of his own and knows more than the average person. His knowedge also includes that the Amiga Operating System is superior, but only he knows it, while the rest of the world is using something else.
When he says to them about the Amiga, they look at him and say - look who is talking.

Most people disliked it because it is yet another Apocalypse (End of the World) movie, and there are a lot already. This have nothing to do with the Amiga.

@amigang

I can't discuss where I got my preview copy from as that would be against the Terms and Conditions of this forum, I would not want to get a torrent of abuse from the mods

As for previews, how about :

Amiga Scenes 29.2Mb 2mins:56secs

Yeah, I saw that a couple of years ago, I've been away from the scene for a while and wondered if he was still around.
