As some of you may know I have a site for the Amiga Anniversary and I would like people out there to tell me of any parties, shows or anything else they are planning to celbrate the Amiga 1000 25th birthday in June.

This site http://www.amiga25.com is there for people to hopefully bump into or be lead and it is aiming to show what is happening in Amiga Land.

Please let me know here or by email to clusteruk@hotmail.com and point me to your site to let people know what is going on to celebrate.

A small intro could be sent or I will make something from your information.

Many thanks.

Steve

As there are several events all over the world at the same day, maybe we should work together with video conferences, internet-chats, live webcams. Concerning the Amiga-Event in Essen: We have two video-projectors, and we have broadband internet at all our tables. So it could become an international event without the need to travel around the world.

@Dirk: Hoe ver zijn jullie met de planning? Waar is het evenement precies? Zwijndrecht?
(Oh, yes, we are international, Dutch is no problem for us )

@DrZarkov

Sorry this dropped of list to quick, I do want to try and organise something like this.

Maybe all shows could link together through skype video. Lets all talk about this.

By the way, I want to visit one of them myself so have to decide which, either europe or US.

Steve

We are at the beginning so nothing is set in stone yet, but i think

From Zwijndrecht (I think we are talking about the same Zwijndrecht, near Antwerpen) to Essen it is about 2 hours by car. So it would be possible for a visitor to go to both events at one day

Mikey as there is nothing planned I will be going to Germany unless there is something bigger and better planned. Just want to go to a party preferably with people who have used an A1000 and know what it is like

In an ideal world one with Amiga developers as well.

One good reason to join the event in Essen/Germany: The Ares-people will be there. So it will be a good occasion to promote Aros/Icaros/iMica
Of course we will concentrate on AmigaOS 4.x, X1000 (if available by then)and "Classic" Amigas. Aros, Morphos and UAE will just round up the event, but we will not exclude Amiga's "spurious" relatives. If you like, you can get your own table to show the iMica. Just contact me.

BTW: I hope that the english version of our website will be online this weekend.

Perhaps I could bring my A1000 after all that is what this is all about, is essen drivable.

It is only 400 miles from my house, maybe I will do that. Can you PM me price for table.

However, only going if there is a party afterwards, I did a lot of business with Germans in the past through Eagle computers.

True, I did join the amiga a bit late in the game, thanks for the comment of my site, I'm currently trying to find the time to update it as well at the same time update and improve my web skills, so it might not work for Amiga browsers but then I'm trying to make a site for other people who may not know all the details going on, as a lot (a little too much in my view) need to know information is only ever posted in forums in the amiga world now a days, which most people dont look at. View where I'm up to here:

@mickyc
I still kind of regret not being able to go last years show, so going to make the extra push to go this year, specially if we can get the AmigaONE X1000!
One request, please, please please see if it possible to get the Amiga Walker at the show again, I would love to look at that.

The A1000, or Commodore Amiga 1000, was Commodore's initial Amiga personal computer, introduced on July 24, 1985 at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Machines began shipping in September with a base configuration of 256 KB of RAM at the retail price of 1295 USD. A 13-inch (330 mm) analog RGB monitor was available for around 300 USD bringing the price of a complete Amiga system to 1595 USD. Before the release of the Amiga 500 and A2000 models in 1987, the A1000 was simply called Amiga.

July 24 is a Saturday by the way.
So....where's the party?

I'm gonna pull my A1000 out of the attic for the occasion.
Wanna come round my place?

Yes - a week ago I translated the text of this page into English and sent it to Volker.
But appearently he hadn't have time to implement it in the page up to now - but I'm sure as soon as his time permits he will update the pages to be available in English as well...

Wow, I remember when the 25th Anniversary Star Trek game came out! Is the Amiga really as old as Star Trek was back in 1993!!
