Does that mean the machine has to come out this year? Because on sheer volume of native software alone, neither of them stands up to the A1200 or A500 of ages past.

The most balanced Amiga design for running actual Amiga software would be either the NatAmi or the FPGA Arcade (AGA MiniMig) machines. Of all the new systems I'd nominate either of them for the prize.
